Dear Students,
We are pleased to announce
the tentative result of Screening Test of 6th National Science Talent Contest (NSTC-6)
held on 18th January 2009. We congratulate selected students on
their success! It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to
achieve this honor of being amongst the top 200 students amongst
almost 4000 talented
students from all over the country. The students who are not
selected, should not lose heart and work hard to achieve
success.
During the next
phase of NSTC-6 these successful students will be invited for a
week long Training Camp during coming summer( July, August or
September, 2009) in one of the
following Home Institutions (HI's) of NSTC:

National Institute for
Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE), Faisalabad (Biology).
-
H.E.J Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi,
Karachi
(Chemistry).
-
School of Mathematics
Sciences (SMS), Government College University (GCU),
Lahore (Mathematics)
-
Pakistan
Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), Nilore,
Islamabad (Physics).
The complete
boarding lodging will be provided by STEM Careers Programme at
these HI's. Based on their performance during these Camps, about 10-15
students will be selected in each subject for the next phase of
the Contest. The successful students in each successive Camp, will be required to attend
further Training Camps in December 2009, February/March 2010 and
June 2010, after the final exams of F. Sc/ A Levels, for
possible participation of the Pakistani teams in the
International Olympiad in their respective subject during
summer, 2010.
