An
afternoon “Excursion Trip” to the City of Faisalabad & Dinner at
Pizza Hut
Selection Procedure:
The
procedure for further selection is that we will hold three training
camps for the selection of 4 finalists who will participate in the
22nd IBO,
Taipei,
Taiwan 10-17 July, 2010. During 1st training camp 50
students are expected to participate. On day first there will be
welcome test (material is enclosed). This test will carry 25% marks.
After 5 days of teaching there will be final exam which will carry
75% marks. Top 16-18 students will be selected for 2nd
training camp. The result is usually notified within 1-2 weeks.
During December Vacation 2010, there will be 2nd training
camp. Similarly we will also provide material for 2nd
training camp. Again there will be welcome text for 25%
marks. After 5 days of teaching there will be final exam which will
carry 75% marks. After this camp 8-10 students will be short-listed.
In mid-March 2011 there would be a short training camp of 2-3 days
to select four students to represent Pakistan in 22nd
IBO. The result is usually notified within 1-2 weeks. After F. Sc.
/A level Exam the 4 finalist are intensively trained for practical
skills at NIBGE for 2-3 weeks before departure to Taipei, Taiwan.
The
reference book for NBTC training camps as well as IBO is
Biology (8th Edition)
by Neil A. Campbell and Jane B. Reece. This book cost around Rs.
5000 & is easily available in Lahore, Karachi & Islamabad. We have
limited budget for the books. We have photocopied around 720 pages
of this book & are enclosed. We will provide original books to the 4
finalists.

Instructions for arrival
·
For your
convenience, if you want to arrive in the morning (on 1 August),
no problem, Lunch will be arranged (If this is the case, please
inform earlier)

If you are going to
travel to Faisalabad by Public transport, please make
arrangements by yourself.
·
Let us know your
schedule (arrival time and place in Faisalabad) by 30th
July (before 2:00PM) so that conveyance can be
arranged for you to arrive NIBGE.
·Your
stay (shared accommodation) is arranged in NIBGE student
hostels, bedding towel etc. will be available so don’t
bring such stuff.
·
If you are
traveling to NIBGE by personal transport, ENTER THE NIAB/NIBGE
COLONY GATE (rather than NIBGE main gate) and follow your
way to Hostels
